AMA considering 2009 rules proposals

The Academy of Model Aeronautics' two-year rules update cycle is now in the stage where proposals for the 2009-2010 period have been submitted and are being given initial consideration by the event-based contest boards.

Each event category (aerobatics, combat, Navy carrier, racing, scale, speed) has a contest board with a member from each AMA district. There are also general rules proposals, under consideration by all boards jointly.

All of the rules proposals can be viewed on the Academy of Model Aeronautics web site.

Members interested in the outcome of these rules proposals should contact their district contest board members and express their views. The Pacific Northwest is in AMA Dist. XI.

Here is a quick list of the proposals under consideration and the Dist. XI representative to contact.
