The original, one and only Combat Graffiti will be held in Vancouver B.C.

Don't be left out of the fun! Build a pre-1964 combat ship and come join us.

Don't want to compete? Just bring a vintage combat wing and fly.

WHEN: Saturday July 9 -- Static Judging begins at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Rice Mill Road flying site, Richmond B.C.
Directions: If you are coming from the U.S., stay on #99, the Canadian extension of Interstate 5, and go about 14 miles north of the border to the Massey Tunnel. Get in the right lane just before the tunnel. The tunnel goes under the river. You take the first exit after the tunnel to Steveston Highway. Go left (west) on Steveston, over the freeway then take the first left onto No. 5 Road. The third left is Rice Mill Road. About 400 yards down on the left is the flying site. Park beside the road with the other cars. This is due west of the (99) on the freeway on the map and about dead center in the map. At the U.S. border, usually "Truck Customs" is where the lineup is shorter. Watch for the sign as you approach Blaine. Once you are through Customs, go about a mile north on 172nd Street (aka Pacific Hwy) and turn left at the first stoplight, Eighth Ave. This takes you back to the #99 freeway.

RULES: Click here to see full Combat Graffiti rules

Current AMA OR MAAC license will be required for use of the field, so be sure you bring it.

Miscellaneous: This is an informal “picnic” event, so there is no entry fee required. There is no requirement to compete, but if you want to win the cup, you will need to. Feel free to bring any vintage model you like and fly it. The rules state 75 mph maximum speed, If your speed is 80 mph or greater, you will need a shutoff for any unofficial matches you fly per AMA/MAAC rules. Remember that we are guests at the VGMC field and we need to comply with all general AMA/MAAC safety rules.
