Gerald Schamp of Albany, Ore., has been working on ambitious precision aerobatics project for the 2008 season. It's a version of the P-47 designed by Pat Johnston for the Brazilian stunt team. The photos show some of the progress Gerald has made so far. The engine is a Thunder Tiger .75 four-stroke. The is 62 inches in span and 710 square inches. Gerald says the take-apart version of the plane is very time-consuming to build, with lots of details. Gerald promises to send more photos as the plane progresses. Gerald Schamp photos.
