2015 Western Canada Stunt Championships

Aug. 1-2, Richmond, B.C.

Report and results provided by Keith Varley

The weather was OK for a contest. Winds not fun at times, and clear skies, so the sun had its way with us and dark sunglasses and sunscreen where the fashion of the day.

Despite the very disappointing  turnout there where a couple of notable things.  Howard Rush managed to beat Chris Cox by one-half point. The two faithful buddies that drove all the way from Calgary, Alberta, were arm-twisted into judging Advanced, and did very well.

Marilou Rush was arm-twisted into judging Intermediate. A new adventure for her. She proved to be more than capable, so contest directors, be advised of the new judge on the block.

Chris Cox jumped in and got things organized and rolling in fine fashion, thank you Chris. Bruce Duncan acted as pull test guru, and Gerry Boyd was the official photographer.

Perhaps then highlight of the weekend was the barbecue at the Cox houshold. The food was delicious. Many types of meat to choose from, including ribs and beer, and a host of other good stuff. Thanks go out to the Cox family. Much of the BBQ cooking was performed by Stephen Cox who many of you will remember as the small kid that could out-fly all the full grown men at racing.
