The Academy of Model Aeronautics, our national control-line competition sanctioning body, has put the 2009-2010 rulebook online for download. The rules are in the form of PDF documents that can be dowloaded and read on any computer.
The rulebook is broken up into sections, so you can download the general rules and the competition category you are interested in.
A good suggestion is to download the rules and make a printout to keep in your flying vehicle, so you can consult them on the field. Also, be aware that sometimes rules are corrected after the initial download, so you may want to check in again just before contest time and make sure you have the latest version.
There always are a number of changes to the rules in every two-year rules cycle, so contestants and officials will want to download the rules and take a good look at them, so you know what's new this year.
In addition to the national "rulebook events," AMA's general rules apply to our regional Northwest rules in any area not covered by the Northwest rules.
To download the new AMA rules, go to the AMA web site.
For informati on Northwest rules, go to the Northwest rules section of Flying Lines.
