Northwest Speed Spring Fling

April 3, 2011, Bill Riegel Model Airpark, Salem, Ore.

By Mike Hazel, contest director

The Speed season-opener was a cozy little contest hosted in Salem.  Temperature was a bit cool to start the day, but the air was fairly calm and dry.  Don McKay broke Chuck Schuette’s old record in the 1/2 A Profile Proto class.
